We are proud to serve more than 1,800 youth who participate in Scouting in Bureau, Henry, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Rock Island, Stark, and Warren counties in Illinois and Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, Muscatine, and Scott counties in Iowa. These 13 counties make up the Illowa Council!
Scouting has been shaping the youth of America for more than 100 years. Scouting does AMAZING things for youth. Scouts try new things, serve others, boost self-confidence, make ethical choices, and explore the outdoors. Besides being super-fun, Scouts say it helps them be more honest, teaches them to better work with others, guides them into becoming better team players and leaders, and provides life-long skills. Prepared. For Life.

Kittan District is excited to announce THREE new Eagle Scouts! Adam H., James A., and Jack L. all completed their Board of Review on April 23rd.
Adam H. is a member of Troop 82 in Davenport. His service project brought in 204 service hours while putting in signs at Riverdale Park. Scouting has taught him how to be a good leader and how to stay true to his core values. He plans to stay involved in serving his community for years to come.
James A. from Long Grove, Iowa's Troop 203 did an amphitheatre restoration for a total of 260.5 service hours. James started Scouting in 1st Grade and as a freshman in high school, he still plans to stay involved. He hopes to study engineering at Iowa State after he graduates. He is also very active in Taekwondo – he's a second-degree black belt and instructor!
Jack L. is a member in Bettendorf's Troop 199. He did a project for 150 service hours at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School, including an outdoor learning area. He's also been Scouting since 1st Grade! He acknowledges that he's always been a "quiet" kid – but Scouting has helped him grow and feel comfortable in leadership roles. This has affected other areas of his life; Jack is also a student ambassador at his school, an assistant stage manager for the school drama department, and a table leader for the Teens Encounter Christ retreat. He hopes to attend Iowa State University after graduation and study engineering.
Please join Illowa Council in congratulating these three new Eagle Scouts! Well done! 🎉🎉🎉
