The Mission and Purpose of the Order of the Arrow
For over a century, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. As Scouting’s National Honor Society, the OA serves as a driving force for leadership, adventure, and service—guiding Scouts to become lifelong stewards of the outdoors and their communities. Arrowmen are dedicated to preserving Scouting’s camping traditions, promoting ethical leadership, and providing cheerful service to others. Through fellowship, meaningful service projects, and high-impact leadership development, the OA empowers Scouts to build a stronger future for Scouting and the world around them.
