Become a Certified Angler Instructor!

WHO:
- Scouts BSA Youth under age 15 – Come and earn your Fishing and/or Fly Fishing merit badge!
- Scouts and Scouters 15 and older – become a Certified Angler Instructor!
COST: $40/person
- Includes program materials, food, and lodging.
- Lodging is available in Dunkin Lodge (max 30 participants) and the Wigwam campsite. You’ll be asked to select one of these two options upon registering for the event.
- All fishing equipment is provided.

What you'll learn...
When you become a Certified Angler Instructor with Scouting America, you’ll have the knowledge it takes to run fishing or fly fishing program at the council, district, or unit level. This is a great asset for your unit!
COURSE GOALS:
- Gain hands-on experience fly casting, fly tying, various fishing knots, and learning fishing etiquette
- Learn how to teach these same skills
- Have time to experience the great fishing at Camp Loud Thunder
- Learn to clean and cook the fish you catch
- Learn about fishing programs at other councils
- Learn about the Complete Angler Award (Scouts BSA) and the Cub Scout Fishing Program Adventures.
- Learn how to organize a council fishing committee
- Learn about discounts for fishing equipment and program materials

Lodging will be available in R. D. Dunkin Lodge for up to 30 participants and also in the Wigwam campsite for those who wish to tent camp. You will be required to select one of those two options when registering.
